Anaconda for windows 10 download11/13/2023 ![]() Modern linux distros (ubuntu especially) are pretty much the exact same experience as windows nowadays (gui apps installed from the ubuntu store application) though command line stuff is a bit different (better because you have a package manager apt and don't need worry about downloading installers for most things), but you're right that more obscure/niche software might only have Windows builds. I believe it will also have an "unregistered" water stamp on the background and the notification center asks you to register every so often. Now follow the instructions and choose a place to install the software. The only limitation I'm aware of is that you can't change the default desktop background, and I think you're technically in violation of the ToS if you aren't planning on upgrading or if you use it for more than a month or something like that. Once the downloading is done, run the installer by double-clicking on it. Similar deal with creating an offline account being subtle options during installation if you want to do that instead of using microsoft store one. Microsoft has a media creation tool you can download that when run allows you to create an iso as one of the options (along with upgrade, install to target drive, etc).ĭuring installation there is an option below the spot you enter the product key that says "I don't have a product key." and then you can just skip registering.
